He is married with 2 children both under 14. He resigned on April 8th 1908 after serving 5 years 10 months and 22 days with the Essex Yeomanry.
Signed up again aged 33 years and 2 months, Service No. 551 Essex Yeomanry. He rose to the rank of acting Lance Corporal 26 Jun 1915.
Employed by Captain Guy Gold (who was his recruiting officer) as a groom. Now residing in Barking? Place, Braintree with his wife, but born in Henham. He was transferred to the UK, being time-expired, on 15th April 1916.
