Clifford Smith Service Record

SMITH, Clifford, Private, died 26/08/1918 aged 23, enlisted Colchester Service No. 355218 2nd/7th Battalion London Regiment, killed in action (died of wounds). Formerly served service no. 1983, Essex Yeomanry. In the Army Register of Soldiers Effects, it shows Clifford had £12 12 Shillings and 11 pence and received a war gratuity of £16.

Son of (Postman Smith) William James and Celia Smith of Church End, Henham. Buried at Daours Communal Cemetery.
