The 9th document is dated the 15th October 1908. It is a Conveyance by Herbert Willett, market gardener, of Henham to Josiah Henry Matthews, insurance agent, of a piece of freehold land in Henham. The sale price for that land is eighteen pounds and ten shillings. The plot is estimated at being 40 rods and part of a freehold estate known as ‘Old Mead’ and now in the occupation of Robert Wright. The piece of land is that delineated, coloured pink, on the map below. Matthews agrees that he will erect a fence along the southern boundary and maintain it forever.
