Robert David Napier Service Record

Napier Robert David Sub-Lieutenant (A), died age 21, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, on board H.M.S. Ruler in the Pacific Ocean. Son of Henry Andrew Muter Napier and Catherine Frances Sydney Napier, of Bacons Farm Henham, Essex. The address given for his family was Broxted

 

 

 

The principal base of the Fleet Air Arm, Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, was chosen as the site for the memorial to almost 2,000 men of that service who died during the Second World War and who have no known grave.

A newspaper article on 6 June 1945 states that he was killed during operations at sea. The address given for his family was Moor End Broxted.
