On 17th July 1899 Salisbury Baxendale purchased the estate of Little Henham Hall together with Brayshots and Jocks Farm plus 535 acres, 3 roods & 2 perches all for £9,400. The purchase also included Little Henham Lodge. The White House was built on the estate in 1931 and sold, together with one acre of land, in 1932 for £1,200.
During WWII, the owners took John Evans and his brother as evacuated children.
